I am a criminal defense and family law lawyer in Fort Worth, Texas, and I practice throughout the Tarrant and surrounding counties. I’m a graduate of Texas A&M Law, and a native of Oklahoma (although my family history on my mom’s side goes back to the Battle of San Jacinto). Before going to law school, I was a police officer and sergeant for over 20 years, where I was a police classroom and firearms instructor, a breath test operator, and a field sobriety test instructor. I have a master peace officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
I also retired as a captain from the USAF Reserve, having spent time in both the Army and Air National Guard. I started as a paratrooper with the 36th Airborne Brigade, was a light and mechanized infantryman, a cavalry scout, a tanker (briefly), and then in the security police/forces in the Air Force.
I’m married to a family law lawyer, I have two grown up kids, and a dozen grandkids.
